RECIPES FROM AROUND THE WORLD
This
is the third in a series of recipes taken from Wendy's new
book, Foods for Life Essential Guidebook : Protect Your
Heart with Body, Mind, and Spirit Foods. Thanks Wendy.
Crunchy
Carrot Cookies
1
c. whole wheat pastry flour 1 t. baking powder
1/8
t. sea salt
1/4 c. sunflower seeds, chopped
1/4 c. almonds, chopped
1 c. rolled oats
1/4 c. organic raisins
1 c. shredded organic carrots 1 T. liquid lecithin
1 t. vanilla extract
1/2 c. honey
1/2 c. Wonder Slim 1 t. nutmeg and 1 t. cinnamon 1. Preheat
the oven to 375 degrees. Sift together the flour, baking
powder, salt and oats and mix them together in a large bowl.
2. Beat together all the wet ingredients with an electric
mixer or wire whisk. Stir the wet mixture into the dry mixture
until it is moistened. 3. Drop the cookies by rounded teaspoons
onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Flatten them, and bake
for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 1 minute
on the cooking sheet, before transferring them

AIRLINE
NEWS The Air Transportation Association has petitioned the
U.s. Department of Transportation to delay until 2000 its
code share disclosure rules, now scheduled to take effect
this July 13. What this means for the consumer is that the
airlines do not have to disclose to you what airline is
ACTUALLY going to provide the service on a specific route,
nor if there is a change of equipment at an intermediate
stop. The airlines claim that they are behind schedule in
their efforts to comply due to reprogramming software and
the Y2K drain on resources.
