Itinerary
Day 1 – October 12, 2007
Depart U.S.A. for Beijing, China (airfare not included).
Day 2 – October 13, 2007
Upon your arrival into Beijing, China you will be meet and transferred to your hotel. Your day will be at your leisure to rest and get acclimated. An evening Yoga session is scheduled for this evening.
International Leisure City Resort (October 13 – 17, 2007)
Day 3 – October 14, 2007 (B, L, D)
After breakfast you will depart the hotel for a full day Hutong and Summer Palace tour. Hutongs are age-old urban lanes unique to Beijing. At present, there are some 4,550 hutongs around Beijing, and the structures that compose the hutongs are mostly residential compounds. The hutongs in the peripheral area of the Mansion of Prince Gong are well preserved. You can take a pedicab to travel along the hutongs. The Summer Palace is located in the northwestern suburbs of Beijing and built in 1750, the Summer Palace is the existing largest, best preserved imperial garden in China and a fine example of Chinese gardening art.
This afternoon you will participate in a Calligraphy class and a Yoga session is scheduled for this evening.
Day 4 – October 15, 2007 (B, L)
After your morning Yoga session, you will depart the hotel for a day trip to the Temple of Heaven and the Forbidden City. The Temple of Heaven is located in Chongwen District and was the venue for the Ming and Qing emperors to offer sacrifices to Heaven and pray for harvest. It was built in 1420, the 18th year during the reign of the Ming Emperor Yongle, and covers 2.7 million square meters, being the existing largest temple in China. The Forbidden City is located in the central part of Beijing and was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1911), constructed between 1406 and 1420. Covering a total area of 720,000 square meters, it is the existing largest, best-preserved imperial palace in the world. It houses imposing structures and many scenic spots, including huge stone sculpture, Imperial Garden, Nine-Dragon Wall and Qianlong Garden. With a large collection of cultural relics and art works of different dynasties, it has now become a palace museum, with exhibition halls of treasures, porcelains, paintings and bronze wares.
Day 5 – October 16, 2007 (B, L)
This morning you will depart after breakfast for a half day tour of the Great Wall. The Great Wall is a symbol of ancient Chinese civilization and a world-renowned defense work. Stretching 6,350 kilometers on the mountains in northern China, it was first built in the 7th Century B.C., completed during the reign of the First Emperor of Qin, and extended during the Ming Dynasty. Praised as a “Wonder of the World,” it has been listed as a cultural heritage. The most famous section of the Great Wall is a Badaling in Yanqing County in the northwestern suburbs of Beijing, built more than 600 years ago during the Ming Dynasty.
Day 6 – October 17, 2007 (B)
Transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight to Xi’an. You will be met in Xi’an and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon Yoga Session in Xi’an.

Day 7 – October 18, 2007 (B, L)
This morning following your Yoga session, you will have a Qigong Master demonstration. This afternoon you will have a day trip to visit the Terra-Cotta Warriors and also the Wild Goose Pagoda. The pit of the Terra-Cotta Warriors measures 230 meters from east to west, 62 meters from north to south and 5 meters deep. There are 6,000 life-sized terra-cotta warriors and horses, 100 chariots and 30,000 weapons. With weapons in their hands, the warriors line in a phalanx, solemn and awe-inspiring. It is reputed as the World’s Largest Military Museum and the Eighth Wonder, and has been put on the World Cultural Heritage List. Xi’an is famous for two pagodas. The Greater Wild Goose Pagoda is located at the southern end of Yanta Road outside Heping Gate. It was first erected in 752, the 3rd year of Emperor Gaozong during the Tang Dynasty. A seven-storied brick structure, it is over 64 meters tall and features traditional Chinese architectural style. It is a symbolic structure of Xi’an and a relic under state protection. The Lesser Wild Goose Pagoda is located in Jianfu Temple. Also a brick structure built during the Tang Dynasty, it has 13 stories and is over 43 meters tall. There is a big iron bell, weighing 10,000 kg.
Day 8 – October 19, 2007 (B, L, SD)
After your morning Yoga session you will have the remainder of the day at leisure to shop or explore on your own. This evening you will enjoy a performance at the Tang Dynasty Dinner Show.
Day 9 – October 20, 2007 (B)
Transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. You will be met in Shanghai and transferred to your hotel. Evening Yoga Session in Shanghai.

Day 10 – October 21, 2007 (B, L)
After breakfast you will depart on a half-day tour to see the Jade Buddha Temple. The Jade Buddha Temple, built in 1882, is a well-preserved Buddhist temple. It was so named because it enshrines the statue of Sakyamuni carved out of white jade and shipped to Shanghai from Burma. This evening you will have a Yoga session.
Day 11 – October 22, 2007 (B, L, D)
After your morning Yoga session you will depart the hotel to visit Yueyang Hospital, which is a major Chinese traditional medicine and therapy hospital. You will have a professional demonstration and discussion with the doctors.
Half-day sightseeing to Pudong the area and the Oriental Pearl Television Tower. Standing on Lujazui Road, the TV Tower is 468 meters high, facing the European-style architectures on the Bund, the other side of the Huangpu River. There are watching terraces, rotary restaurant, ballroom, piano bar, and guestrooms in the air on the floors 263, 271 and 350 meters above the ground respectively. This evening enjoy an Acrobatic Show.
Day 12 – October 23, 2007 (B)
Transfer to the airport for your return flight home to the U.S.A.
