Day
1 – Depart USA (D)
Depart Miami on your international flight
bound for Manaus in Brazil. Dinner and rest in flight.
Day
2 – Manaus, Brazil – Amazon Ecopark Lodge
(B L D)
Arrival at Eduardo Gomes International Airport
in Manaus. Transfer in air-conditioned vehicle to
the dock of the hotel where guests will board a typical
riverboat and cruise up to the Amazon Ecopark Lodge.
Welcome
Reception by the friendly staff that will
meet you with refreshing Amazonian fruit juices and
snacks. Afterwards, you will be shown to your room.
Afternoon
Tour “Monkey Forest” - Depart
the lodge in motorized canoes to “Monkey Forest"
(a project sponsored by the Living Rainforest Foundation),
whose main goal is to return the forest monkeys rescued
from the illegal wildlifetrade. They receive medical
treatment and are given time to become acclimated
to the region before being released into the wild.
The monkeys are fed twice a day, once at 11 am and
the next at 4pm. You may take pictures and film the
rare monkeys under the supervision of the specialized
staff.
Dinner
served buffet style at the main restaurant
(featuring delicious local fish, beef and poultry
+ hot side dishes, assorted salads, typical desserts
and fresh tropical fruits).
Night
Sounds Tour - After dinner you will be invited
to enjoy the sounds of the night in the jungle in
motorized canoes. You will also go alligator spotting
(guides will try to catch them and examine them).

Day
3 – Amazon Ecopark Lodge (B L D)
Brazilian
Buffet Breakfast - including breads, cakes,
ham, cheese, fruit juices, regional dishes & fresh
fruits.
Jungle
Survival Training - At 9:00 am everyone will
be gathered in order to start introduction to the
"Jungle Survival Training". You will be
accompanied by the bilingual guide(s) and by the lodge’s
staff. You will depart on treks through the jungle
(first aid kits and compasses are available) learning
how to build different types of shelters, traps (for
hunting and survival in the jungle) using natural
resources from the jungle (palm tree leaves, vines,
etc). You will also learn about the extraction and
curing of latex. The technique of extracting the latex
will be shown as well as the entire process of curing.
There will be a "tapiri" (straw shelter)
built with the native rubber workerstools. During
the trek you will also learn how to make fire and
find water from natural resources of the jungle. You
will learn what can be eaten or not, basic orientation
in the jungle.
Lunch
and Dinner will consist of sandwiches, fruits, BBQ
chicken and/or piranhas and soup.
Overnight*
in the JUNGLE: You’ll sleep in hammocks
protected by "tapiris" (thatched roof)
*This overnight activity can be modified for the group
to return to Eco Park Lodge for overnight.
Day
4 – Amazon Ecopark Lodge (B L D)
Breakfast
in the jungle (again picnic style) or at
the lodge.
Morning
Relaxation where you will have free time
for resting, or just relaxing at the natural swimming
pools.
Buffet
Lunch will be served at the main restaurant
(featuring delicious local fish, beef and poultry
+ hot side dishes, assorted salads, typical desserts
and fresh tropical fruits).
Afternoon
Excursion and Piranha Fishing - Afternoon
departure in motorized canoes to visit a native dwelling
("caboclos") to learn about the customs
and way of life of these native inhabitants, Amazon
Indian descendants. Following your visit you will
go piranha fishing.
Buffet
Dinner will be served at the main restaurant
(featuring delicious local fish, beef and poultry
+ hot side dishes, assorted salads, typical desserts
and fresh tropical fruits).

at the AMAZON ECOPARK LODGE
Day
5 – Amazon Ecopark Lodge (B L D)
Brazilian
Buffet Breakfast - including breads, cakes,
ham, cheese, fruit juices, regional dishes & fresh
fruits.
Full
Day Tour "Meeting of the Waters"
- You'll experience the highlights of the Amazon on
a typical riverboat tour to the "meeting of the
waters". The black Negro River and the brown
Solimões River meet and run together for miles
without mixing until they finally merge to form the
actual Amazon River. The "meeting of the waters"
mark is where the distinctly different colors of the
almost black Rio Negro (darkly tinted with steeped
vegetation) and the lighter brown, silty Amazon are
clearly demarked, not mixing together for miles.

Lunch featuring regional dishes
Afternoon
Relaxation or Fishing - Optional piranha
fishing tour in the lake behind the restaurant. You
will return to the Amazon Ecopark Lodge around 6:00
pm.
Buffet Dinner at the main restaurant
(featuring delicious local fish, beef and poultry
plus hot side dishes, assorted salads, typical desserts
and fresh tropical fruits).

Day
6 – Amazon Ecopark Lodge – Manaus (B L)
Brazilian

ham, cheese, fruit juices, regional dishes & fresh

Morning
at Leisure
Afternoon
City Tour - Early afternoon board the motor
launch and head back to Manaus. Afternoon city tour
of the highlights of Manaus, including the world famous
Opera House and the local market.

Full
day at Leisure in Manaus: Perfect for last
minute sightseeing and shopping for gifts to bring
home! Our local staff will help you with optional
exciting activities!

Transfer: This morning you will depart to the airport.
Board your flight bound for USA. Meals served by the
airlines in-flight.

Tropical Manaus Hotel is situated at the
shore of the Rio Negro, in the heart of the Amazon.
It is close to the Manaus International Airport and
downtown Manaus. The Tropical Manaus Hotel features
spacious and comfortable rooms, all with air conditioning.
The hotel is well known for its Portuguese colonial-style
decoration, family atmosphere and superb nightly entertainment.
The hotel also features winding paths through a verdant
forest and a zoo.

Price Includes:
Air Transportation - Roundtrip airfare
from Miami on IATAN and ARC member air carriers. Airfare
is based on the lowest applicable airfare in economy
class. US domestic airfares to connect to our departure
city will be quoted separately. All airfares are subject
to change and government approval until ticketed.

- Accommodations as mentioned in the based on double
occupancy in Manaus and at Amazon Ecopark Lodge subject
to confirmation. Hotels of similar quality may be
substituted.
Meals
- Full Brazilian Breakfast each day, as served by
the hotels and lodges Lunch and Dinner each day while
at the Amazon Ecopark Lodge Farewell Dinner in Manaus
