Hayes
Annika
Hayes, President of mindbodytravel, healthquesttravel
Annika has been active in the travel industry both in Europe
as well as in the USA since 1972. Her positions in the European
tourism field ranged from supervising operations for a large
charter operator to international sales/marketing manager
for a foreign national tourist office. Her career in the
USA spans 23 years, and has been focused on Wholesale travel
for Special interest groups, including Continuing Educational
travel programs for health professionals.
Annika
was the Western USA manager for Melia International Travel
and owned Friendship International Tours a wholesale spiritual/corporate
group travel company until 1994, when it was sold.
Annika
became interested in a healthy approach for body, mind and
soul for her personal lifestyle and started to promote travel
programs that aligned with her philosophy. She formed a
joint venture in 1997 with the founders of Health World
Online to develop the Healthy Travel concept as past of
their web site, Healthy.net as well as NPICenter.com.
Annika
makes her home in Nevada City, California.
Barbara
Howard
Barbara
Howard, Vice President of Marketing – mindbodytravel,
healthquesttravel
Ms. Howard's marketing experience is extensive. She has
held positions as Marketing Consultant, Marketing Director
and Vice President of Marketing where she has been in charge
of concept, development and direction of production for
all media. Most recently, Ms. Howard was VP of a publishing
company and a manufacturer of natural products. As a Marketing
Specialist, she has assisted companies in identifying objectives
and the development of marketing, advertising and public
relations strategies. She is also a writer specializing
in travel writing and direct market copywriting.
Throughout
her career, Ms. Howard has been involved in creating, directing
and producing award-winning projects in print and electronic
media. Ms.Howard has written, directed and produced radio
and television programs (national CBS and PBS), and she
writes articles for national magazines. She has written
and edited print and email newsletters. Ms. Howard is also
an accomplished musician and has written and produced musical
themes.
Before
joining mindbodytravel, Ms. Howard produced Educational
Travel programs to China, Kauai and the Southwest USA focusing
on natural health and wellness, and the study of botanical
medicinal, nutritional and spiritual healing.
Ms.
Howard makes her home in Monterey, California.
Julie
Jentges-Adams
Julie
Jentges-Adams, Vice President of Reservations and Operations
is also one of the key executives at Cartan Tours Olympic
Division and mindbodytravel. Julie joined the Elmore Group
of travel Companies in 1974 and was selected to develop
the on-line computer reservation system used through the
companies. As a veteran of the last six Olympic Games, she
has also been instrumental in the development of the automation
system that controls the sale and distribution of Olympic
Games event tickets in the United States.
Julies’
extensive experience in the tour and travel industry has
made her an excellent choice for the planning of Olympic
Games Travel Programs that highlight the culture of the
host country and the Olympic Games as a sports event. She
has been one of the leading innovators in the tourist industry
and has played a key role in the development of travel programs
for the families and friends of the U.S. Olympic Team.
As
Vice President of two of Elmore’s travel companies
Jentges has been recognized throughout the travel industry
for her accomplishments in the development of group travel.
Julie
makes her home in the Los Angeles area.
Don
Williams
Don
Williams, Vice President of Sales for Cartan Tours and mindbodytravel,
is one of the key executives at Cartan Tours Olympic Division.
Williams began his association with Dave Elmore in 1983
with Olson-Travelworld, Ltd. In his 9 years with Olson-Travelworld,
he was responsible for the development and tour planning
for the company’s Pacific area travel programs. As
Vice President of Reservations and Operations, he was instrumental
in establishing service guidelines and systems to deliver
one of the industry’s highest quality tour products.
In
addition to his Olson-Travelworld responsibilities, Williams
directed the operations of the United States public programs
for the 1992 Olympic Games in Albertville, France and Barcelona,
Spain, which provided over 10,000 people the opportunity
to view Olympic Games first hand. He joined Cartan Tours
in 1993 to direct the operations for the 1994 Olympic Winter
Games in Lillehammer, Norway.
Williams
is currently spearheading the long range planning for the
1998, 2000, and 2002 Olympic Games in Japan, Australia,
and Salt Lake City. In addition, he oversees preparation
for the promotion of 1998 World Cup and a wide variety of
ongoing sports travel programs.
A
1966 graduate of the University of California Long Beach
with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing,
Williams makes his home in Los Angeles.
